REM/Rate must already be setup for SQL Server database exports before the steps below will successfully synchronize data with HouseRater. Set Up REM/Rate Database Sync
When exporting from REM/Rate, you must run both "Export" and "Export Code Compliance Building..." using a single reference building selected, or run both "Export" and the UDRH report to sync with HouseRater.
Exporting with a Code Compliance Building
In REM/Rate, confirm the "Rating Number" field on the "Rating Information" page matches the HouseRater ID number.
Select "Tools" > "Export" > "Export." You may need to confirm any notices of an already existing house in the database.
Select "Tools" > "Export" > "Export Code Compliance Building..."
Ensure the correct SQL Server database is selected for the synchronization.
Check only one checkbox option for the baseline comparison HouseRater will use when calculating statistics.
Click the "OK" button to upload data. You may need to confirm any notices of an already existing house in the database.
After the REM/Rate export is complete, switch to HouseRater and open the synchronized house.
Click the "Sync with REM/Rate" button above the Reports panel on the house.
Exporting With a User Defined Reference Home
In REM/Rate, confirm the "Rating Number" field on the "Rating Information" page matches the HouseRater ID number.
Select "Tools" > "Export" > "Export." You may need to confirm any notices of an already existing house in the database.
Select "Reports" > "User Defined Reference Home..." and choose the UDR file as the baseline for comparing statistics.
Check both "Reference" and "Design" from the "UDRH Export" section, and ensure the correct SQL Server database is selected.
Leave the "Reports" section empty, and select the "OK" button to upload data. You may need to confirm any notices of an already existing house in the database.
After the REM/Rate export is complete, switch to HouseRater and open the synchronized house.
Click the "Sync with REM/Rate" button above the Reports panel on the house.
